HALO Showcases Eco-Friendly Gloves at World Expo 2025

OSAKA – PT Haloni Jane Tbk (HALO) is a leading medical glove manufacturer with 25 years of experience. The company recently showcased its innovation and inspiring story from Indonesia on the world stage. They participated in the grand World Expo 2025 event in Osaka, Japan, from June 25-27, 2025.

However, HALO’s presence was not solely for showcasing its superior products. More than that, the company also aimed to feature a business model in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Naturally, this theme was a primary focus of the five-year exhibition.

The World Expo 2025 itself carried the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” In line with that theme, HALO showcased medical gloves from its fully automated modern factory. This participation served as tangible proof of the Indonesian industry’s ability to compete globally. Additionally, this technological innovation also provided a positive social impact.

Technology and Sustainability Innovation: An Answer for the Future

On this occasion, HALO demonstrated the vital role of modern technology in producing high-quality products. Their advanced factory ensures that every medical glove is manufactured to the highest standards of quality, speed, and precision. The goal is to protect healthcare workers around the world.

This step was perfectly aligned with the objectives of World Expo 2025 Osaka. This is because, for the first time, the exhibition focused on SDGs, technological innovation, and socio-cultural aspects in facing global challenges.

An Empowering Supply Chain: From Upstream to Downstream

The uniqueness of HALO’s business model lies in its responsible supply chain. This means the entire process is sustainable. It all begins with the rubber farmers in the rural areas of Sumatra, Indonesia. They tap the latex from rubber trees using environmentally friendly methods.

Next, this liquid latex is processed into a high-quality semi-finished material (CL60). Only after that is the material sent to PT Haloni Jane Tbk’s modern factory to be processed into medical gloves. This product is crucial for the safety of healthcare heroes.

Essentially, this is the embodiment of a noble mission: “From the small rubber farmers of Sumatra, to protect the world’s medical personnel.” With this model, HALO contributes directly to two important pillars. First, protecting global health. Second, improving the welfare of thousands of local rubber farmers.

Representing the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision on the Global Stage – HALO at World Expo 2025

HALO’s participation at World Expo 2025 also supported a larger national agenda. This is because they were part of the Indonesian pavilion, coordinated by the Ministry of National Development Planning (Kementerian PPN/Bappenas). Therefore, the event was a great opportunity for several things:

  1. Nation Branding: To showcase the progress of Indonesia’s manufacturing industry as part of the “Golden Indonesia 2045” vision.
  2. SDG Promotion: To demonstrate Indonesia’s commitment to achieving sustainable development targets through multi-stakeholder collaboration, spanning from farmers to industry players.
  3. Investment Opportunities: To open doors for international cooperation in trade and investment, showing that Indonesia is a reliable strategic partner in the global market.

Ultimately, World Expo 2025 Osaka was an ideal stage for HALO. The exhibition was attended by 161 countries. As a result, HALO was able to strengthen its position as a global expert in medical gloves. They could also act as ambassadors for an innovative, modern, and conscientious Indonesian industry.
